In a newer a/c system, you will have condensation drain line float switches. We install several of these on the drain lines of the cooling coil drain lines.
If the drain line is blocked, this will cause the draining water to back up into the cooling coil drain pan. A drain line float switch will then trip and turn off either the outdoor unit or the entire system.
In a case like this, I hesitate to show a self-help, due to the possibility of severe water damage if the fix is done wrong. I will include a video in the next update, illustrating the procedure.
In the mean time, call us and we will walk you through the process. If we can not walk you through this, we can send a tech out to repair the problem.
If you reach this point and your unit is still not running, you should probably call us to schedule a repair.
