That might not come as a surprise to some people but the truth is that there is still some uncertainty if the two are connected, and an official claiming that climate change is causing extreme weather is still uncommon.

According to an article from huffingtonpost.ca, “In what is being considered a first by a member of the federal Conservatives, Kitchener-Waterloo MP Peter Braid stated publicly on CBC News Network’s Power and Politics that recent extreme weather and climate change are connected.”
