Storm damage can be a burden for anyone, and when you have so much to take care of, the pressure to get things done can be very stressful.

Gravesham Council is struggling to cope with repairs caused by storm damage. The backlog become a serious problem when the need for inspections rose up to 873 from a manageable 118.

A council spokesman said: “We are prioritizing the very worst cases but clearly they are often the ones which take the most time to rectify. Inevitably there will be delays with a backlog this size but be assured everything is being done to clear the problem as quickly as possible.
