With massive flooding and a super-typhoon, it seems that 2013 was a banner year for extreme weather – that’s how most people would feel. But, that’s not how some experts would see it.

According to a report, 2013 is actually not that extreme when it comes to extreme weather.

According to an article from  science.time.com, “Except that wasn’t the case, at least not in 2013. The reinsurance company Munich Re came out with its annual assessment of natural disasters, and found that 2013 was an unusually quiet year.”
