Tips to Stay Cool with the Heat Wave on the Horizon

In South Jersey, the temperature rose up to 90 degrees in the second week of July.

“Oh my god, we have been here all day, its hot, I mean the sand is blistering your feet”, said one tourist in Margate.

To handle the heat, health experts in Atlantic County point out the importance of hydration.

“What they can do is get out of the heat, drink plenty of fluids and kind of cool themselves down”, said Dr. Gregory Carson, Medical Director at Shore Urgent Care.

Health officials also said that children below 4 years old and senior citizens are more prone to heat stroke.
