A report that was sponsored by the Central Intelligence Agency (CIA) is taking a close look at the implications on national security by climate change.

It is quite difficult to understand what the implications from climate change actually are, and every year we are witnesses to the sheer growth that its scope has had. This is as we continue our research, and it seems that the more we study and conduct investigations, the more each of us realize that we actually know very little and that the climate of our planet is really very complex.

Serving as co-authors of the report were D. James Baker, a former administrator of the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration, and Michael McElroy, the Gilbert Butler Professor of Environmental Studies at Harvard University.
